66% Of The CEOs Of Large Companies Worldwide In Internet: 66 percent of CEOs of large global companies are present on the Internet through the company's Web site, video and social networks, up from 36 percent in 2010.
According to the study, the rapid growth between 2010 and 2012 of the CEOs in the network comes mainly from its participation in the company's Web site, from 32 percent to 50 percent, and in this video, 18 percent 40 percent.
Specifically, 50 percent of CEOs visible on their company websites usually appear in the main pages and tabs or links, for example, letters, photographs and videos.
"The use of the company's Web to add information on the CEO is a first step in the socialization of this and is the basis of sociability in some global markets," said the agency.
As for social networks, these managers have increased their presence only through these forums, from 16 percent in 2010 to 18 percent in 2012.
For the creative director of Weber Shandwick Digital practice, James Warren, while public use of social networks by CEOs has grown considerably, the overall increase sociability of these indicate the likelihood that the networks are monitored as social tool 'business intelligence' and use this knowledge in other sector of its activities outside the networks.
Approximately one third of CEOs have their names attached to these accounts, with profiles containing inaccurate or false information about companies and executives or, in some cases, several false accounts of the same CEO.
